Right before the break, the school had an ominous note on the whiteboard: "3 confirmed cases of stomach bug." We were nervous - but they told us none of the littler babies had gotten it yet so I held out hope.
Then that very night, Michael started puking. But, Eden didn't have any stomach bug, so how could Michael have it? We were hoping it was food poisoning.
The very next night, Grammy got an even worse version of the illness.
The following night, I got it.
The next night, Eden's uncle Matt got it.
There is lots of gross stuff one could say about this horrible bug... at least it is mercifully brief. And at least I have a supportive boss.
Aunt Becca and Grampy managed to stay well, though Becca got queasy and put a ton of effort into not getting sick. And you know who else has managed to stay completely norovirus free so far? Miss Eden! This despite that I literally puked on her while trying to feed her in the middle of the night! ("MICHAEL, QUICK, TAKE THE BABY!") Her teachers think that the little babies didn't get the bug because they're on breast milk... I am quite happy to credit breastfeeding, because it validates what has been a massively difficult choice for me, though of course there is no way of proving or disproving this. Also, there is a major possibility she will get sick within 24 hours of me posting this.
