Eden vs. banana

We let Eden try her first banana whole, inspired by the "baby-led weaning" movement (check it out here - it's a big fad and somewhat controversial). Whenever she takes too big of a bite I tend to freak out and rush in with the camera, which is pretty funny. I'm not really sure how I feel about it - in the abstract I loved the BLW idea and choking seemed this abstract thing that people were overly concerned about. But then when it came time to actually give her food, I was very concerned about choking! I think I would definitely have to supervise her closely when she eats banana like this, at least until she gets more comfortable. But she definitely seemed excited about the banana, not to spoil it for you...
