Spring is here! We've had some fun outside & Eden is learning more and more words!
Rehearsing for the AJMF Shabbat chanting with Congregation Bet Haverim
Eden loves her "baby" - this came with a little potty that Bubbe gave her. The doll is meant to show Eden how to use it. We'll see!
Here she is for the first time on her potty without a diaper on.
No action... until she got up and pooped on the bath mat :-)
When visiting our friends Amy & Rob, we discovered Eden's classmate Tilde lives across the street from them! Tilde's parents are also a female lawyer, a male musician, photographer
& web designer, and they had a drum line and passed out egg shakers
at their wedding! AND Tilde was born one day before Eden!
Before these photos, after they had stopped by our friend's house to say hi, Eden kept waving across the street saying "Hi Tilde!" (Sounded like Hi Tid-ah). So we stopped by their place so they could hang some.
chillin' with Peek-A-Boo Barn - Sesame Street version
Eden enjoyed her first real warm Spring day outside. She got some mud on her in the grass. For some reason she found her mommy saying she's so dirty hilarious!
I left her shirt partly on before bath, and she thought that was hilarious too :-)
Eden just learned to SAY "no" (she has shaken her head for a while now). Here is her new book about Passover - "Where is the Afikomen?"
And she's getting faster at her animal sounds. (Of course she's probably heard this book 100 times :-)
We had a ton of fun in our costumes at this party - but Eden was scared of Michael's C3PO mask, and it didn't capture the full effect of why we decided on these costumes in the first place (which is because Eden thought C3PO looked like "dada"!
So, when we went to AA's Purim carnival a few days later, we tried a different approach to C3PO...
I have to say, painting Michael's head gold was a HUGE amount of fun. And Eden wasn't as freaked out by it as we thought she'd be.
Some more pics from my camera...
This is in Eden's classroom at school - we got some very interesting looks...
Now if you ask Eden "where's R2D2," she'll point to herself!
Well, she's still a fan of fakeouts, now with sound effects!
My favorite example of this was when I asked her to clean up a toy - she walked up to the cabinet with it, stuck it in, and then said "Ohhhhh" in that tone and ran away with the toy.
Happy Purim! Here are some photos from a Purim festival at Congregation Beth Jacob I just performed at. I am C3P-Oy, Eden is R2D-Jew and Bonnie is Princess Challah.
Bonnie got this costume idea based on one time when Eden saw a picture of C3PO at Mom's house (or Bubbe's house) and said "dada." :-)
(By the way, Eden was always scared of my C3PO mask :-)
