Our little Italian Eden

Recently she developed a new accent with her one primary syllable...

10 months old

And not really sitting still for a panda shot!  Eden's a mover now - crawls lots, and now pulling up, standing, and cruising a bit too...

HERE I COME!!!

A quick general update: her favorite syllable is "da," and is just starting to say "m" and "b" a bit in the last few days, though mostly "mmmmm-da!"  Also loves singing "uh oh" these days.  She's sleeping much better than she used to too - no teeth yet, though, so we imagine the sleep will get worse pretty soon!

Eden's new piano!

Daddy bought Eden a new piano, because she outgrew her 4-key piano mat already, and when she plays our big piano, she gets distracted by wanted to pet the cats & lunges off the piano bench!

Eden's first day at Suzuki School's new Ponce location

After a couple of weeks of construction delay, the Ponce deLeon location is finally open.  It's only 12 minutes away in rush hour vs. 25 minutes, and almost on the way to Bonnie's office!

Eden's teachers say she's doing really well - happy, engaged, eating well, etc.  Many of her classmates are starting daycare for the first time and cry a lot, so Eden's the old pro by now!

Mr. Eric just moved to Washington D.C. as you may know.  Sad for me, but glad he'll be with his family and in a new city.

But he swung through town & got some Eden-time!

Poor baby Eden got a rash at daycare today....

We're baffled and going to the doctor tomorrow - she hasn't eaten anything new today, so we're not sure what could be going on.

This has actually been a rough month for us with Eden's health - she has had cold after cold (probably new babies coming into her daycare class?), a 104 degree fever for 3 days, her first ear infection, then an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin, then we both got thrush again from the amoxicillin.  The ear infection left her with fluid in her ears that affects her hearing, too, so we have to get that checked out again in 6 weeks.  All in all she's been to the doctor about 7 times this month!

Send good vibes to Eden that hopefully this is just a mild rash and not connected to a serious issue!

Eden pulls up and cruises

(posted 9-11-14, but postdated 9-1-14) 

This has been an exciting month for Eden.  She started crawling, and within a week or so started pulling up to standing positions and she even started cruising while we were at Limmudfest in the mountains this year!  I couldn't get video of her first cruise, because I used my phone as bait :-)

But here's a video of her pulling up right before she cruised (walked from one end of the table to the other while holding onto it).
